Membrane Biocollagen View larger

Biocollagen membrane

Biocollagen is a natural collagen membrane derived from the equine Achilles tendon. This thin membrane is freeze-dried, desantigenised, hypoallergenic and 100% resorbable. The Biobollagen membrane is used to protect small graft sites and stabilise granular grafts. The duration of protection is 4 to 6 weeks, after which rapid resorption takes place.

Available in 2 sizes:

More info
Guided tissue and bone regeneration is frequently performed as part of an augmentation of lost tissue around teeth and dental implants. The technique consists of placing a protective membrane between the soft tissue and the residual bone to prevent epithelial cells from spreading rapidly into the bone defect.

Product features :

- Dimensions : 15X20X0.2mm or 25X25X0.2mm
- Sterile
- Components : Equine type collagen Collagen is a protein present in the connective tissue of all mammals and therefore has a strong homology.
- Packaging: sterilised product placed in a glass bottle.
- Single use

Notes :

The Biocollagen membrane is used as a barrier against epithelial invasion during bone regeneration interventions by means of grafts.
The membrane acts as protection for a period of 4 to 6 weeks. Beyond this time, the membrane begins to resorb thanks to endogenous collagenoses.

Instructions for use :

Hydrate the Biocollagen membrane for 1 to 2 minutes in a sterile physiological solution before applying it to the entire surface of the graft.
Unprotected areas would be easily invaded by epithelial and connective cells, and would thus lead to the partial or total failure of bone regeneration.
